Welcome to Vichy TK-8 School: Home of the Vikings

Welcome to Vichy School, home of the Vikings! We are a proud California Distinguished School serving students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through eighth grade.

Our Mission: Learning Treasured, Leaders Inspired

Our mission is clear: to be a community where learning is treasured, and our goal is to inspire students to become passionate, lifelong learners. We commit to a comprehensive core curriculum that supports mastering grade-level standards through a balanced approach of skills-based instruction and meaningful, hands-on project-based learning. We believe learning requires hard work, but we make sure it’s always lots of fun.

Fostering Inquiry and 21st-Century Expertise

What truly sets our program apart is how we foster inquiry and build 21st-century expertise. Our curriculum seamlessly integrates the arts, technology, and hands-on learning, providing a rich, well-rounded experience.

From our dedicated Library Media Center, our garden and STEM activities, to our daily technology integration, we ensure students have the essential tools and skills to thrive as creative, ethical leaders. We teach, encourage, and honor students for persevering in their learning, for being courageous and curious, and for demonstrating integrity and responsibility. We want them to know that they can take charge of their learning, and we do this through our collective commitment to each student.

Our middle school students benefit from AVID (Advancement via Individualized Determination) strategies embedded into their instruction to support their continued growth. Additionally, our 6th-grade leadership student ambassadors provide positive support to our younger students in the classroom and on campus and help guide tours for prospective families.

Our Core Values and Community Partnership

Vichy is more than just a school; it’s a strong, family-oriented community with a proud tradition of parent participation. We fundamentally believe that education is a powerful partnership between home, school, and the greater community. When we all work together—staff, parents, and students—we provide a quality educational program that helps every child realize their full potential.

Our collaborative spirit is built on our core values, which our students embrace every single day. Here is our promise:

As a proud Vichy Viking, I will be kind, respectful, responsible, and safe. I promise.

Vichy has long been a place where students feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged to grow both socially and academically.

We invite you to come and visit our campus to learn more about our inspirational learning community. Go Vikings!
