Music
4th and 5th grade students have the opportunity to learn a band instrument or a stringed instrument with Ms. Stephanie Hawks. Band and Strings meet once per week for 40 minutes.
Students may purchase their own instrument or rent through the Music Connection. Students are required to purchase their music book which is available at all local music stores and to bring their instrument to their group lesson each week.

Vintage Day for Intermediate Students:
In the spring, intermediate students will bring home a permission slip for Band or Strings Vertical Articulation Day. This special day gives elementary students the opportunity to play with middle school and high school students and teachers. Students practice during the day for a performance for parents and families that evening at the District Auditorium. The Band and Strings day will be announced soon. Stay tuned for more information about this exciting event!
Vichy Concerts:
All beginning and intermediate students will perform for students and their families later this year. Dates and times will be forthcoming.
Kindergarten through 5th grade enjoy music lessons with Ms. Brittany Terry every Monday or Tuesday. They prepare seasonal concerts performed at the District Auditorium. Schedules and times will be announced.

Instrument Rentals and Repair
private lessons
All music students are encouraged to also take private lessons. Ask your music teacher for a list of private lesson teachers if students are interested. Private lessons provide a student with more opportunity to play, increase their skill level, and to receive more personalized attention to fit their playing needs.
